COVID-19 | Facts, Faith and Fear
Facts
With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that Keystone is carefully monitoring this situation with your health and well-being a top priority.
At this time, the overall risk to the general public remains low with a currently low infection rate in the Fraser Valley as well as across much of Canada. As we are under the 250 person threshold, we will continue to meet as a church family until/if we hear otherwise from government and health officials.
We have taken the time to thoroughly clean our facilities and as is our normal practice hand sanitizer dispensers are available for your use.
If you feel it is in your, your family's, or the congregations best interest to stay home, please know you are at liberty to do so without the fear of judgment. We do ask that if you or your children are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms, in the spirit of putting others first, please take the day and enjoy it away from church. We are currently working on ways for you to be able to watch our services online although this will not be in place for tomorrow.

Faith
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.”
(John 3:14–15 ESV)
The symbol commonly used to represent the practice of medicine finds its roots in the biblical account of Moses following the instructions of the Lord. In the above quote, Jesus makes reference to the time when Moses made a bronze serpent and set it upon a pole so that anyone who looked upon it would live. (Numbers 21:8-9)
Still to this day, all mankind, especially those who have become God's children through faith in Christ, find life, health and protection from disease.
“saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.””
(Exodus 15:26 ESV)
God is our healer. Period.
In the midst of ever-changing news and updates there is one thing that will never change...God loves you and through Christ and His redemption we who walk with God have a covenant or promise of life and health.

Fear
“for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
(2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
(Philippians 4:6 ESV)
Be on guard against a spirit of fear.
It can be difficult when we're bombarded on TV, radio, and internet with reminders and the constant chatter about the coronavirus. If you have to, turn it all off, don't look at your social inbox/feed for a day and immerse yourself in God's word to strengthen your spirit.
If you find yourself struggling with fear or anxiety, follow the instructions in Isaiah 35:4 and remind yourself...
“Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.””
Remember it is always more productive to live with a spirit of faith than from a spirit of fear.
Be healthy, be blessed and enjoy your day!
